Cra Group Limited is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join their team in this challenging and rewarding role. The successful candidate will work closely with applicants who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, providing advice, information, and assistance to help them explore their housing options and find suitable accommodation that meets their needs.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to establish and manage realistic applicant expectations. They will also have the ability to deal inventively and sensitively with a wide range of people in varying circumstances.

As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for progressing all homeless applications under current legislation, ensuring compliance with the Homelessness Code of Guidance. You will also work closely with partner agencies and organisations to help applicants access the private rented sector and prevent or relieve homelessness.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong organisational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all housing applications, assessments, decisions, and outcomes. A good understanding of homelessness legislation and policies is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex information effectively to applicants.
