About the Role

Barnardo's is seeking a highly skilled Data Officer to join our team. As a Data Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the service in managing data functions, ensuring that systems meet the evolving needs of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data across the service.
  • Lead on the usage of management information and information recording systems.
  • Compile reports as required.
  • Support the compilation, submission, and quality assurance of data.
  • Monitor progress of KPIs and liaise with managers/teams accordingly.
  • Lead on Data Protection/GDPR for the service, overseeing governance and data sharing.

Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in the use of databases and MS applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Substantial knowledge of GDPR, data protection, and compliance.
  • Well-developed numeracy and literacy skills at a level to perform moderately difficult calculations and produce reports.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
