About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy Analyst to join our team at Gold Group Limited. As an Energy Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving business decisions and working closely with operations, engineering, and senior management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, monitor, and report on plant physical performance, including thermal and cooling efficiencies, electrical efficiencies, operational regimes, plant outputs, etc.
  • Maintain and develop data collection to allow effective internal and external reporting.
  • Investigate and improve all system losses, including thermal and electrical losses, parasitic loads, etc.
  • Report on energy efficiency and financial performance of energy sales.
  • Identify adverse trends and opportunities for improvements.
  • Ongoing analysis of energy schemes trends and performance, diagnosing and making recommendations for rectification to ensure consistent and efficient energy delivery.
  • Calculate energy revenues and costs.
  • Carry out regular review of data and compare with bulk data.
  • Check consumer consumptions against benchmarking data and budgets.
  • Monitor system data for gaps, spikes, issues.
  • Attend customer energy meetings and produce client reports.
Requirements
  • Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering Discipline.
  • Demonstrable competence in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  • An understanding of the principles of district energy and CHP.
  • Heating and cooling system design, including a range of generation systems (CHP, Biomass, Boilers, etc.), would be an advantage.
  • Must be both positive and proactive when approaching all tasks.
  • Knowledge of Controls, VSDs, and Metering Systems would be an advantage.
  • Member of a professional Institute and working towards chartership would be an advantage.
