Energy Analyst (Junior and Senior) at Eco Careers LTD.

£30,000 - £45,000 DOE (25 days holiday + BH, life assurance 3x salary, 5% Pension)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Energy Analyst to join our team at Eco Careers LTD. in East London. As an Energy Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving the energy efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Energy Analysis: Measure, monitor, and report on plant physical performance, including thermal and cooling efficiencies, electrical efficiencies, operational regimes, plant outputs, etc.
  2. Data Collection and Reporting: Maintain and develop data collection to allow effective internal and external reporting.
  3. System Losses: Investigate and improve all system losses, including thermal and electrical losses, parasitic loads, etc.
  4. Energy Efficiency and Financial Performance: Report on energy efficiency and financial performance of energy sales.
  5. Trend Analysis: Identify adverse trends and opportunities for improvements.
  6. Energy Scheme Performance: Ongoing analysis of the energy schemes trends and performance, diagnosing and recommending rectification to ensure that energy is delivered consistently and efficiently to meet contractual requirements.
  7. Financial Analysis: Calculate the energy revenues and costs.
  8. Data Review: Carry out regular review of data and compare with the Energy Intelligence team bulk data.
  9. Consumer Consumption: Check consumer consumptions against benchmarking data and budgets.
  10. System Monitoring: Monitor system data for gaps, spikes, issues.
  11. Customer Meetings: Attendance of customer energy meetings where required and produce client reports.

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Qualified to a minimum 2:1 degree level in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Engineering Discipline.
  2. Technical Skills: Demonstrable competence in the use of Microsoft Excel is essential.
  3. Industry Knowledge: An understanding of the principles of district energy and CHP.
  4. System Design: Heating and cooling system design, including a range of generation systems (CHP, Biomass, Boilers etc.), would be an advantage.
  5. Soft Skills: Must be both positive and proactive when approaching all tasks.
  6. Professional Membership: Knowledge of Controls, VSDs, and Metering Systems would be an advantage.
  7. Professional Development: Member of a professional Institute and working towards chartership would be an advantage.
