Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a maintained Special School in Birmingham, West Midlands.
The school has purpose-built premises designed to meet the diverse needs of students with severe, profound, and complex learning difficulties, including medical needs.

Job Description:
This role involves supporting pupils with complex learning difficulties and medical needs.
You will work closely with teaching staff to ensure that each student receives personalized care and educational support.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting individual students or small groups with severe and complex learning difficulties, including medical needs.
- Assisting in classroom activities and ensuring pupils are actively engaged and working towards their personalized learning goals.
- Promoting students' emotional and social development, encouraging positive behaviour and inclusion.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and other professionals to implement tailored strategies for learning and behaviour management.
- Supporting with personal care needs where necessary and helping students with mobility, feeding, and other medical needs.
- Helping with the use of specialist equipment, such as sensory and hydrotherapy tools, to enhance students' learning and development.
- Documenting students' progress and contributing to their individualised education plans (IEP).
About You:

- Demonstrates patience, compassion, and a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children.
- Is flexible and adaptable to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Is a confident communicator and is comfortable supporting children with a wide range of needs.
Salary: £22,500 - £27,000 per annum
