At Wrightbus, we're seeking an Automotive Software Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for those who want to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative vehicle control systems.

About the Job

The successful candidate will design software systems for vehicle control and drivers' displays, working closely with our engineering team to integrate vehicle chassis, powertrain, and body systems into the overall vehicle control strategy.

A key aspect of this role will be collaborating with third-party system suppliers to specify software and parameters that meet our requirements. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software systems for vehicle control and drivers' displays.
  • Integrate vehicle chassis, powertrain, and body systems into the overall vehicle control strategy.
  • Collaborate with third-party system suppliers to specify software and parameters that meet requirements.

Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • a strong background in computer science or a related field.
  • excellent programming skills, particularly in languages such as C++ and Python.
  • experience with software development methodologies and version control systems.
