Automotive Diagnostic Engineer needed at Gerrell & Hard to develop and implement diagnostic software for our low-volume electric vehicles. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer to refine harness routings and diagnostic protocols, support LabCar testing and prototype builds, and troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure system reliability.

Job Description:
  • Diagnostic Software Development: Design and implement diagnostic software to test and validate electrical systems and component integration.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer to refine harness routings and diagnostic protocols, provide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical issues, ensuring system reliability.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Support LabCar testing, prototype builds, and pre-production diagnostics.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostics, low-volume or motorsport engineering.
  • Knowledge of electrical diagnostics tools, CAN/LIN networks, and LV vehicle wiring.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software such as Cadonix, Arcadia, Zuken.

Salary: £70,000 per year, depending on experience.
