About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Diagnostic Software Engineer. This key position will focus on developing diagnostic software for electrical systems and component integration within our low-volume electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement diagnostic software to test and validate electrical systems and component integration.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Electrical Engineer to refine harness routings and diagnostic protocols.
  • Support LabCar testing, prototype builds, and pre-production diagnostics.
  • Provide troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of electrical issues, ensuring system reliability.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effective solutions.
  • Continuously improve diagnostic processes for efficient, safe design.

Ideal Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related qualification.
  • Experience in vehicle diagnostics, low-volume or motorsport engineering.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics tools, CAN/LIN networks, and LV vehicle wiring.
  • Strong attention to detail, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and workshop readiness.
  • Familiarity with Cadonix, Arcadia, Zuken, or similar diagnostic software.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this role is £60,000-£80,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including professional development opportunities, a competitive pension scheme, and a generous holiday allowance.
