Technical Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor to join our UK Insulation Division. As a Technical Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our customer base with technical expertise, providing product training, and responding to customer requests for U-value calculations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of yourself and your colleagues as a top priority.
- Build on technical knowledge and expertise across the portfolio, developing customer-oriented product offerings in association with colleagues in the wider Etex group.
- Support customer base with product training delivered by various methods to suit the needs of the customer, responding to customer requests for U-value calculations with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Build ever-stronger relationships with key customers, distributors, architects, contractors, and other specifiers, becoming a reliable and respected subject matter expert with deep product knowledge and wide understanding of construction processes.
- Respond to customer issues and complaints, working in partnership with the customer to devise mutually acceptable solutions.
- Take ownership of product certifications such as BBA, ensuring all requirements are met in a timely fashion to ensure seamless continuation of certification.
- Develop and implement internal communications to ensure colleagues are kept abreast of technical developments and changes.
- Build strong relationships with team members based on honesty and integrity and genuine expertise.
- Work with the wider team across the insulation division, Europe-wide, and including Commercial, H&S, Finance, contributing to projects as required.
We are looking for a candidate with 5+ years of sector-specific experience and industry-certified training. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction methods in both domestic and commercial sectors, backed by a relevant qualification, preferably a degree in Building Science or similar.
