About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team in histology, assisting senior staff in providing a comprehensive service in cellular pathology. The ideal candidate will have experience in laboratory processes, maintenance, and monitoring.

This role entails production of high-quality histological stained sections of surgical and post-mortem tissues for diagnosis. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure patients' needs are met.

Requirements include registration with the Health Professions Council as a biomedical scientist, a Biomedical Science Degree or equivalent, and participation in CPD. Experience of working in a diagnostic cellular pathology laboratory is also essential.

Main Responsibilities
  • Production of histological stained sections of surgical and post-mortem tissues
  • Laboratory rota covering all areas of laboratory processes, maintenance, and monitoring
  • Maintenance of quality assurance processes
