Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Biochemistry Laboratory Specialist to join our Allergens and Authenticity team at our laboratory in High Wycombe.

The ideal candidate will have a solid theoretical understanding of Biochemistry, excellent laboratory practical skills, and good interpersonal skills. As a key member of our testing facility, you will be instrumental in determining if test materials meet specification and comply with agreed standards.

This role requires someone who is able to question and ask 'why', has good organisational skills, and can relate own tasks to the delivery of Premier Foods Quality Management goals.

As part of our Technical Centre, you will receive full training to gain the extent of knowledge required to perform at the expected level. Individuals are actively encouraged to develop further within their careers and are fully supported to do so.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Log samples, collect data, make measurements, and take action following set guidelines.
  2. Carry out ELISA and PCR based testing, operating all relevant equipment.
  3. Undertake development projects under the supervision of the line/project manager.
  4. Gather, consolidate, analyse, and report data effectively using IT packages where applicable.

Estimated Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
