Clinical Psychologist (1-year sabbatical cover)

Hours: Two days a week (15 hours, with flexibility to extend to 0.6 FTE)

Responsible to: Director of Therapy

Location: Helen Bamber Foundation, London.

Job Summary:

The Helen Bamber Foundation is a leading charity providing therapeutic care, medical consultation, legal protection, and practical support to asylum seekers, refugees, victims of human trafficking, and other human rights violations. We are seeking a Clinical Psychologist to join our therapy team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivery of highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes
  2. Provision of appropriate evidence-based therapies
  3. Delivery of clinical supervision to qualified clinicians, assistant and trainee clinical psychologists on final year specialist placements, and non-clinical members of staff
  4. Input into policy, research, and fundraising, as well as delivery of consultancy and training

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to access medico-legal training (if appropriately skilled), work within a dynamic, specialist MDT, and have access to specialist trauma-focused therapy training. Please note that whilst the role may include some hybrid working, the majority of the role requires the successful applicant to work in the Helen Bamber office.
