About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented AAT Finance Assistant to join our team at Sturents Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions and Reporting
    • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with IFRS and UK GAAP.
    • Assist in the preparation of our annual accounts, monthly and quarterly management accounts, and board packs.
  • ERP System Management
    • Manage our ERP system (Xero) to meet the evolving needs of the business, maintaining the chart of accounts and other data.
  • Financial Controls and Processes
    • Support the roll-out of financial controls and processes across the business.
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
    • Assist leaders and the team with various ad-hoc reports and analysis.
  • Professional Development
    • This position will offer practical finance experience to run simultaneously with the professional accounting exams (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA), which the company can support through a structured learning programme for the right candidate.
Requirements
  • Recent graduate studying towards an accountancy qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) with up to 3-years of pre-qualification experience.
  • Strong working technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and UK GAAP) and demonstrable financial modelling (Excel) and analysis skills.
  • Innate high-attention to detail with a friendly, personable, and approachable communication style.
  • Proactively willing and able to communicate with people at all levels within the company.
  • Excited about playing a key role in establishing new processes and procedures in short time frames and simplifying existing ones.
  • Enjoy multi-tasking and can autonomously prioritize work effectively.
  • Excited by the prospect of preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial statements in a clear and insightful manner.
