About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Prospero Teaching. As a SEMH Support Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering person-centred support to students who present high levels of challenging behaviours associated with SEMH issues.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide individualised support to students who require additional help due to their SEMH needs.
  • To work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to address student behaviour and promote positive learning outcomes.
  • To maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children who display challenging behaviours, preferably with de-escalation training.
  • A strong understanding of SEMH issues and how they impact learning.
  • An ability to build rapport with students and develop trusting relationships.
