About the Role

Hays Accountancy and Finance is partnering with a large public sector organisation to recruit a Staff Officer Accountant. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive market-leading salary and public benefits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake annual regulatory financial assessments of Registered Housing Associations;
  • Review the performance of Registered Housing Associations on a quarterly basis;
  • Manage mortgage and disposal notifications from Registered Housing Associations;
  • Support the work of the branch in delivering an effective regulatory regime, including advice and guidance for the social housing sector.
Requirements
  • Applicants must be fully qualified accountants, having successfully completed the professional examinations, and be a full Member of one of the following bodies:
  • Chartered Accountants Ireland;
  • The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland;
  • The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales;
  • The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants;
  • The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants;
  • The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy
  • The Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland
  • Desirable to have previous experience in NICS and/or a regulatory environment.
