Live Out Chief Housekeeping Officer for a Prestigious Family

Signature Staff is seeking a highly motivated Chief Housekeeping Officer to oversee the housekeeping operations of a large estate for a distinguished family.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing housekeeping within ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) households, ensuring that the residence is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Consistency in upholding these standards is crucial.

In this role, the Chief Housekeeping Officer will collaborate closely with the Assistant Housekeeper to facilitate the efficient functioning of the household. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to delegate tasks effectively while also taking guidance from the Principal and senior household staff are essential.

Given the nature of the clientele, discretion and respect for privacy are paramount. The candidate should be comfortable in both formal settings with guests and in more relaxed family environments.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Comprehensive cleaning, polishing, dusting, and vacuuming of the residence.
  • Management and oversight of all cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities.
  • Training and supervising the Assistant Housekeeper.
  • Collaborating with all household team members to ensure seamless household operations.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of the role, respecting the family's privacy and security.
  • Adopting a proactive and solution-oriented approach to any household challenges that may arise.
  • Managing all laundry care, with experience in handling high-end luxury garments.
  • Changing linens and making beds according to the household schedule.
  • Cleaning the pool area and reporting maintenance issues to the senior team.
  • Inventory management and stock control.
  • Providing pet care and dog sitting services.
  • Assisting with packing and unpacking for the Principals.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding communicator with exceptional organizational skills, capable of adapting to the dynamic nature of the household. The family's plans may change at a moment's notice, ensuring that no two days are alike.

This position offers a standard workweek of 40 hours, Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required when the Principal is in residence, which may include occasional weekend work. Overtime will be compensated with time off in lieu.
