We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Palliative Care Consultant to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our Specialist Palliative Care Services, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement community palliative care services in conjunction with other providers.
- Collaborate with acute and ICB teams, Rennie Grove, ACHT, CCG, primary care, and FNH charity collaborations.
- Ensure patient choice of preferred place of death.
- Participate in the Senior Management team in palliative care.
- Comply with CQC recommendations 2014 and 2019.

Person Specification- Communicates openly, honestly, and professionally, promoting team working and building strong relationships.
- Prioritizes patient needs, drives service improvements, and demonstrates self-awareness.

- Consults others, listens to their views, and enables others to take the initiative.
- Hold MRCP or equivalent GMC registerable qualifications, on the Specialist register for Palliative Medicine, and have good clinical knowledge of Palliative Medicine.
- Have experience in teaching and training junior staff, and possess full driving license and regular access to a vehicle.
- Understand Clinical Governance aspects, patient safety, and experience, with a commitment to continuing education and engagement in the appraisal process.
- Have good personal and interpersonal skills, self-awareness, and ability to judge conflicting demands by planning and prioritizing.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team/teams and possess highly developed communication skills.
