Quantity Surveyor – Highways (S.E)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the South East region, working on Highways and Smart Motorway projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Target Costs, Cost Plans, PIDs, and Valuations, applying Civil engineering and Highways measurement principles.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and third parties, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Utilize IT systems, including Microsoft Office, to manage commercial duties and data.
  • Bring at least 5+ years of experience in Construction, with a strong background in commercial roles.
  • Be conversant with NEC3 conditions of contract, particularly options A, B, C, and E.
  • Conduct site measurements or liaise with operations teams to assess subcontractors' payment applications and final accounts.
  • Ensure liabilities are accurately recorded on the contractor payment management system.
  • Update records as per subcontractor record sheets, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Civil engineering and Highways measurement principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Construction, with a focus on commercial roles.
  • Knowledge of NEC3 conditions of contract, particularly options A, B, C, and E.
