Job Title: Field Service Engineer - Heavy Plant Machinery Specialist

Job Summary: Bennett & Game Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite customer support to our range of heavy plant machinery within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and diagnose technical problems with heavy plant machinery, including climbing on top and underneath the equipment.
  • Service a wide variety of heavy tracked plant machines, ensuring they are in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems, using your solid mechanical aptitude to identify and resolve issues.
  • Complete job cards to a high standard, promptly and within a given timeframe, and ensure all paperwork and timesheets are completed in a timely manner.
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively, and provide an excellent level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and customers, and supervise apprentices when required to ensure a high quality of work and safe working procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment, and ensure all work and personal equipment complies with safety standards.
  • Present a professional image at all times, and take responsibility for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Ensure tools are safe and legal to use.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role and industry, with a solid mechanical aptitude and ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines.
  • Full driving license and ability to work independently.

  • Salary: £15-£18 per hour, depending on experience.
  • Working hours: 40 hours per week, with overtime available at 1.5x.
