Job Title: Application and Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Application and Support Engineer to join our Resource Engineering team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our NEC Public Safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting of NEC Public Safety's DSX & Vision product suite at both hardware and software levels.
  • Providing technical support and answering queries made by customers on NEC Public Safety managed products, operational/configuration or performance enhancing.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and problem solving, with a proven track record of administering and working with Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server up to 2016.
  • Working knowledge of MSSQL Application and practical experience in TCP/IP network support.
  • MS Business Applications experience including Excel, Visio, Word, and excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices and a strong understanding of technical documentation.
Requirements:
  • Experience at either 1st or 2nd line level of a service desk environment.
  • Experience of shift working, day and night, with a fixed 12-hour shift rotation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A strong understanding of technical documentation and the ability to create clear and concise technical reports.
