Job Title: Application Support Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. As a key member of our Resource Engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our DSX/Vision suite of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting DSX & Vision product suite at both hardware and software levels.
  • Creating, reviewing, and updating NEC Public Safety Engineering documentation.
  • Liaising with 3rd party providers and internal teams to coordinate activities and gather information.
  • Providing customer support on a technical and non-technical level.
  • Following and adhering to NEC Public Safety and MCA outlined processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Experience at either 1st or 2nd line level of a service desk environment.
  • Shift working experience, including day and night shifts.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows 10, Windows Server up to 2016.
  • Working knowledge of MSSQL Application.
  • Practical experience in TCP/IP network support.
  • MS Business Applications experience, including Excel, Visio, Word.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
