Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Room Service Waiter/Waitress to join our In-Room Dining team at The Standard London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional service to guests in the comfort of their own rooms, ensuring a seamless and memorable experience.
  • Work collaboratively with the In-Room Dining team to deliver high-quality food and beverage service, meeting the standards of our guests.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including fine dining options and room service specials.
  • Manage cash and credit transactions accurately, handling customer payments and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Work effectively under pressure, multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Night Room Service Waiter/Waitress in a similar lifestyle boutique hotel or fine dining establishment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and colleagues alike.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including menu management, inventory control, and cash handling procedures.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems, with experience in Squirrel EPOS an advantage.
