Dementia Support Advocate

Are you passionate about empowering people affected by dementia to share their experiences and have a voice?
Our Local Dementia Voice activities enable people living with dementia to engage in meaningful activities within a group setting, either online or face-to-face, and to influence the work of Alzheimer's Society.
We are seeking a volunteer to help set up the room and tidy away at the end of the group, as well as prepare and handout refreshments. You will also welcome and talk with people living with dementia and assist them where necessary to engage in Dementia Voice activities.
The estimated salary range for this role is £13-15 per hour, depending on experience.
You would be expected to attend the group regularly and commit to helping us make a difference in the lives of people living with dementia.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be aware of or interested in learning about dementia and its impact on people, their needs and enabling them to share their experiences.
