**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join our team at James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for providing support to vulnerable clients with housing management issues, monitoring and managing rent accounts, and establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals.

 

**Key Responsibilities:**

 

  • Assist vulnerable clients with general housing management issues, such as ASB queries, tenancy management and income support
  • Monitor and manage rent accounts, ensuring arrears are addressed in line with organisation procedures up to 500 properties
  • Establishe and maintain relationships with individuals, maintaining regular contact and facilitating a co-produced planned programme of support
  • Assist individuals to identify and access appropriate move on accommodation
  • Assess the support needs and risks of individuals, with mid-high level of safeguarding in line with the organisation support delivery and risk management procedures
  • Work in partnership with external agencies to facilitate the effective delivery of support and improve outcomes for those receiving our services
  • Deliver welfare benefits and budgeting advice to individuals to ensure income maximisation

 

**Requirements:**

 

  • Knowledge of housing management policies and procedures
  • Experience delivering income management
  • Ability to build strong and positive working relationships/partnerships

 

**Working Hours:**

 

  • Monday to Friday
  • 9:00am until 5:00pm (with flexibility)
  • 37 hours per week
