Job Opportunity for a Practitioner Psychologist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Practitioner Psychologist to work in a leading mental health hospital based in North London. You will be part of a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, including consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and therapists.

To be considered for this position, you must be qualified as a Psychologist with clinical experience and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

As a Practitioner Psychologist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working on both private and acute units, supporting service users with complex mental health needs
  • Providing group and one-to-one support to inpatients and outpatients
  • Providing supervision to junior colleagues
  • Managing a small caseload of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) outpatients
  • Supporting new service initiatives, linking with the North London site and the wider hospital group

The following skills and experience would be beneficial for the role:

  • Ability to deliver multiple therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and at least two other modalities
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, creativity, and proactivity, as well as team-playing and independent case load management
  • Experience of supervising others

The successful Practitioner Psychologist will receive a competitive salary of £51,500 per annum. This permanent full-time role offers 37.5 hours of work per week. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
