Project Management Professional for Flood Defence and Adaptation

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting flood defence and adaptation projects, working closely with clients to protect and enhance environmental matters across England. As part of our Global Business Area, Resilience, we aim to protect our natural environment and water resources while powering our world for future generations.
Climate change, rapid urbanization, and loss of biodiversity are major concerns worldwide, and we are committed to addressing these issues through our work. As an NEC Supervisor, you will be responsible for undertaking key duties outlined in the Contract, including acquainting yourself with suppliers' designs and raising queries regarding constructability in terms of safety and quality.
You will also review inspection and test plans, witness on-site testing and commissioning, identify defects, and verify standards of work and materials supplied by contractors. Furthermore, you will monitor progress, provide advice on risks and issues, and submit regular reports to the Client Project Manager.

To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Civil Engineering, Utilities, Water, Aviation, Environment, Infrastructure project experience.
- Experience in carrying out duties of an NEC Supervisor, and up-to-date working knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
- Good writing, client-facing, and communication skills.
- Diligent, proactive, and thorough approach to detail.
- Collaborative and practical approach to problem-solving.
- Membership of or working towards; Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Association of Project Managers (APM) or Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM).
We estimate the salary for this role to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and reflects the importance of this position in our organization.
