Senior Flood Management Specialist

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Principal Flood Project Officer to lead their technical flood management efforts.
Salary: £39,000 - £44,000 per year
In this role, you will provide strategic technical expertise to support the delivery of Project Sponge and other water management projects. You will also coordinate the Council's role as a statutory consultee to the planning department and develop long-term policy and procedures for the assessment and adoption of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS).
You will be responsible for providing timely and accurate technical advice to allow planning applications to be determined in accordance with Government targets. Additionally, you will lead the technical flood management professional team on Project Sponge and provide support to the Project Lead as needed.
This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in flood management and project coordination. If you have experience working with government agencies and are knowledgeable about SUDS, we encourage you to apply.
