As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our crane depot, ensuring the safe and efficient management of our assets, and driving business growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the depot's assets, including cranes, labour, and accessory equipment, to ensure optimum utilisation and maximum profitability.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve depot efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and motivate a team of experienced operators and administration support staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Hire Desk Manager to ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure business targets are met.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in the crane or plant hire industry, preferably with a strong operational understanding of cranes, transport, or hire desk operations.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.
  • CPCS qualification an advantage.
