Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Peninsula Immunology and Allergy Service. As a Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will play a key role in developing the Immunology and Allergy Psychology Service, working closely with our multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care to individuals experiencing significant physical health symptoms.
The successful candidate will have a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent, active registration with the HCPC, and post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to clinical health psychology. You will have a proven track record of working with people with chronic health conditions or during end-of-life care, and excellent time management and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Develop standard operating procedures for the Immunology and Allergy Psychology Service, based on best evidence and assessment of service needs.
- Support the expansion of the service, including Trainee Clinical Psychologist, Assistant Psychologists, and Undergraduate Students.
- Lead on training, consultation, reflective practice, and team formulations to embed clinical psychology within the service.
- Offer consultation to support staff to meet the needs of individuals with complex psychological needs.
- Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent.
- Active registration with the HCPC.
- Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to clinical health psychology.
We offer a supportive network of local psychologists working in clinical health psychology at UHPT, regular clinical supervision and line management, and opportunities for professional development. You will also have the chance to develop our relationship with local universities for teaching and trainee placements, as well as contributing to research.
