This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Psychologist in the Critical Care Psychology Service. As a specialist in clinical health psychology, you will be responsible for providing highly specialist psychological care to critical care patients and their families.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a Doctoral Clinical Psychology qualification and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). You will have experience in working in multi-professional teams and have a working knowledge of the practices and approaches of other key disciplines, professions, and agencies involved in the care and management network.
Key Responsibilities- Provide highly specialist psychological care to critical care patients and their families.
- Develop and implement effective psychological interventions for patients experiencing significant psychological distress.
- Contribute to the development of multi-disciplinary services, including staff training, service development, and evaluation.
- Participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements.
- Undertake regular teaching and training in psychological issues and approaches to healthcare to other team members.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality psychological care to critical care patients and their families. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical health psychology and experience in working in multi-professional teams.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and liaison skills, including the ability to communicate difficult and/or sensitive information. They will also have the ability to work effectively and flexibly as an integrated member of a multi-disciplinary team.
