Housing Standards Specialist

Buckingham Futures is a leading provider of housing solutions, seeking an experienced professional to support their Environmental Health and Housing team in Greater London.
Key Responsibilities- Enforcement Duties:
- Conduct thorough property inspections and enforce compliance with housing regulations, ensuring the highest standards of public safety.
- Issue enforcement notices, prepare case files for legal action, and provide expert guidance to landlords and tenants on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Site-Based Work:
- Spending 60% to 75% of working time conducting site visits across residential and commercial premises within Greater London, equipped with necessary inspection tools.
- Manage challenging situations effectively, resolving disputes and ensuring strict compliance with housing standards.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Enforcement Team to fulfill statutory obligations and align with client policies and procedures.
- Build strong partnerships with internal departments and external agencies to enhance public safety and housing quality.
- Proven experience in private sector housing enforcement or environmental health within a local authority or similar environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of housing legislation, environmental health regulations, and enforcement protocols.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits is highly desirable.
The estimated annual salary for this role is £48,750 - £62,250, commensurate with experience.
