The Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled

Senior Audiology Technical Officer

to join our Audiology Department in Princess Gate, Hamilton. As a practicing healthcare professional, you will work under supervision to assist Audiologists in patient care and clinical duties, both adult and paediatric patients.

You will provide telephone advice to patients, carry out routine tasks in hearing aid repair clinics, and offer auxiliary support to Paediatric ENT clinics. Your responsibilities will include assessing and monitoring patient reactions during testing at Paediatric Audiology clinics and providing administrative support within the Audiology Department.

You will also provide domiciliary support in the community, within departmental protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Audiologists in patient care and clinical duties
  • Provide telephone advice to patients
  • Carry out routine tasks in hearing aid repair clinics
  • Offer auxiliary support to Paediatric ENT clinics
  • Assess and monitor patient reactions during testing at Paediatric Audiology clinics
  • Provide administrative support within the Audiology Department
  • Provide domiciliary support in the community, within departmental protocols

Requirements

  • SQV 111 in health or social care or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical aspects of Audiology service
  • Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
  • Understanding of local service protocols
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of confidentiality and patient privacy
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and well-organised person
  • IT skills and familiarity with Word, Excel
  • Car driver with a full UK/EU/EEA licence
