Audiology Specialist

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is a leading healthcare provider in the UK, employing a diverse team of professionals in various clinical and non-clinical roles. As a Clinical Audiologist, you will be part of a highly specialist team providing clinical, rehabilitative, and technical support to patients referred to the service.
The role involves delivering audiological assessments, rehabilitation programs, and developing care plans to ensure high-quality patient care. You will work closely with the Team Lead to achieve service objectives, waiting times targets, and implement work programs. Continuous Professional Development (CPD) opportunities will be available to support your growth and development.
The work can be delivered across various locations, including district general hospitals, health centers, community hospitals, nursing homes, and patient homes. Your location may vary to suit the needs of the service.
Requirements:
- You must hold an Audiology BSc or equivalent qualification, such as BAAT Parts 1 & 2 with NC Physiological Measurement, and demonstrate some post-qualification experience.
- Current full registration with The Academy for Healthcare Science (RCCP) is essential for this post.
You will be employed for 37 hours per week, and working patterns may change to suit the needs of the service. The shift pattern for this post is 0900-17.00 (x4 days) and 0900-1630 (x1 day), but may vary due to the needs of the service.

NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
