About the Role

The Greater London Authority is seeking an exceptional Environmental Policy Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our Air Quality Directorate, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing environmental policies that benefit the people of London.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve air quality in London, working closely with stakeholders and partners to achieve our goals.
  • Leverage your expertise in environmental management to inform policy decisions and drive positive change.
  • Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, government officials, and external organizations to advance our environmental agenda.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, policy, or management) and at least 5 years of experience in environmental policy or management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in air quality management, sustainable transport, or planning policy, with a strong understanding of the London Plan and related initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
