About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Fourblue, a leading provider of innovative power engineering solutions. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing new contracts, collaborating with clients, and managing project costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commercial Management: Oversee new contracts, assess financial impacts, and collaborate with clients to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Cost Control: Track and forecast project costs, including staff, subcontractors, and materials, to ensure accurate budgeting and financial planning.
  • Commercial Reporting: Provide regular updates on commercial aspects at project meetings, including cost variances and financial performance.
  • Contract Management: Manage commercial processes related to project changes, issue necessary notices, and handle cost variations to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Financial Administration: Prepare monthly billing statements, oversee invoice creation, and monitor client payments to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
  • Commercial Analysis: Produce regular commercial activity reports and act as the primary commercial contact with clients to ensure effective communication and relationship management.
  • Final Account Reviews: Support final account reviews and documentation to ensure accurate and complete financial records.
  • Commercial Evaluations: Assist in commercial evaluations for new bids and pricing to ensure competitive and profitable project opportunities.
Requirements
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with proficient data entry skills to ensure accurate financial records and reporting.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven commercial acumen with experience in construction or engineering, and familiarity with office environments.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a positive outlook to adapt to new challenges and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel, and experience handling internal and external customer interactions.
