About the Role:

The successful candidate will work under the general direction of the Lead Lawyer, providing comprehensive support to the litigation team. Key responsibilities include managing the IKEN LAST housing disrepair spreadsheet, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the litigation team.
  • Manage the IKEN LAST housing disrepair spreadsheet, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Open and manage new Iken files for housing disrepair claims, handling initial case steps, including:
    • Responding to claimant solicitors.
    • Instructing surveyors.
    • Requesting disclosure documents from client departments.
    • Preparing disclosure documents.
  • Prepare, revise, and finalise court documents, bundles, and reports.
  • Draft costs schedules and conduct legal research as needed.
  • Support solicitors with court applications and related documentation.
  • Manage the litigation inbox and handle postal correspondence.
  • Produce customised reports, collecting and collating data for meaningful presentation.
  • Handle a limited caseload of housing disrepair files.

The ideal candidate will possess a Qualifying Law Degree (LPC, SQE, or BPC) and strong knowledge of one or more areas of law, with demonstrated administrative or case management skills. A right to work in the UK and ability to provide professional references are also essential.
