Career Overview

In a dynamic and challenging role, you will be responsible for the reconditioning and maintenance of CAT machinery at Finning, an industry-leading organisation in the UK and Ireland.

This position requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in electrical, hydraulic, and engine troubleshooting. You will work in a large workshop environment, supporting the repair and maintenance of CAT machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed inspections to confirm or expand on initial field inspection reports, enabling accurate cost evaluations and condition assessments.
  • Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Produce comprehensive lists of required parts and materials for proposed machine preparation work.
  • Overhaul, repair, or refurbish machines according to agreed work plans, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they meet expected performance levels.

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a fast-paced workshop environment, handling heavy machinery, and maintaining a high level of safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a background in plant machinery or similar industries, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality service environment.
