Job Overview

Sodexo is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at RAF Benson in Oxfordshire. As a key member of our retail team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our convenience store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Management: Maintain accurate stock levels, receive and process deliveries, and ensure the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
  • Operational Tasks: Operate the till system, process transactions, and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets, share knowledge, and support each other in achieving store goals.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Previous Retail Experience: Ideally, you will have some experience in a retail environment, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to interact with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Basic Numeracy and Literacy: You will have basic numeracy and literacy skills, including the ability to operate a till system and process transactions accurately.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: You will be flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
