About the Role

As a Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy Manager at Barchester Healthcare, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will take on leadership duties and support the team in ensuring that care standards are met. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits and clinical practice
  • Developing and delivering strategies to improve care quality and resident outcomes
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
  • Supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Mental Health Nurse with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. You will also require experience in helping residents with different health needs, as well as a strong track record of managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. Additionally, you will need to possess:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
