We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy General Manager to join our team at Barchester Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
Working closely with the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties in their absence and be responsible for motivating and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to achieve their best. You will lead by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering strategies to improve care standards and resident outcomes
- Leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
- Monitoring and maintaining regulatory compliance, including CQC standards
- Collaborating with the General Manager to develop and implement business plans and strategies
- Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the team, including mentoring and supervision
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience in leadership and management roles. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and improving outcomes for residents. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification and current NMC registration
- A teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification
- Experience in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
- Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- Understanding of budget management and financial planning
- Ability to support newly qualified nurses through preceptorship
