About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Mental Health Lead / Deputy General Manager to join our team at Barchester Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties in their absence and be responsible for motivating and inspiring a multidisciplinary team to achieve their best. You will lead by example, monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Developing and delivering strategies to improve care standards and resident outcomes
  2. Leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care
  3. Monitoring and maintaining regulatory compliance, including CQC standards
  4. Collaborating with the General Manager to develop and implement business plans and strategies
  5. Providing clinical leadership and guidance to the team, including mentoring and supervision

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in mental health nursing, with experience in leadership and management roles. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and improving outcomes for residents. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. A Registered Mental Health Nurse qualification and current NMC registration
  2. A teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification
  3. Experience in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments
  4. Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles
  5. Understanding of budget management and financial planning
  6. Ability to support newly qualified nurses through preceptorship
