Safeguarding Families Specialist Practitioner

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust prioritizes the well-being and safety of individuals, recognizing the importance of a life free from harm and abuse. As a safeguarding specialist, you will be part of a team dedicated to promoting the welfare of children and young people, as well as protecting adults at risk of abuse.
You will work closely with the Trust's Safeguarding Team to deliver excellence in safeguarding practice. This role offers opportunities for professional growth, including training, supervision, and safeguarding-related activities, with full support from the safeguarding team.
As a safeguarding specialist, you will provide advice, support, and guidance to staff, working alongside the Named Nurse for Children and the Named Professional for Adults to develop the safeguarding 'think family' approach. This approach recognizes that children, young people, adults, and their families and carers do not exist or operate in isolation across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust services.
The role also involves leading and developing effective multi-agency partnerships to raise awareness of safeguarding practices at all levels.
Main Duties of the JobYou will work independently, providing advice, support, and guidance to staff on safeguarding matters. You will work closely with the Named Nurse for Children and the Named Professional for Adults to develop the safeguarding 'think family' approach.
