About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologist to lead our echo team in Westbury, working full-time on a permanent basis. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services and adhering to strict reporting guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms according to BSE standards and local requirements.
  • Provide expert guidance and support through our second opinion rota, ensuring adherence to our reporting protocols during peer review.
  • Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and take necessary actions to maintain optimal performance.
  • Submit reports and archive study images in compliance with contractual obligations and local SOPs.
  • Liaise with hospital departments and GP practices for urgent referrals.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Experience in performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE standards.
  • Hold BSE certification or equivalent.
  • Possess a full UK driving license.
  • Understand the implications of the Data Protection Act, Information Governance Statement of Compliance, and Caldicott Principles.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to adopt new thinking and technologies.
  • Show evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

The estimated salary range for this position is £47,000 to £52,000 per annum, plus a car allowance of £4,200 annually.
