Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Leader for Humanities to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to lead our Humanities department and contribute to the academic success of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • To teach and lead Humanities subjects at KS3 and KS4, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning experiences for all students.
  • To develop and implement effective strategies to improve student outcomes and achievement in Humanities.
  • To work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent and cohesive delivery of Humanities curriculum across the school.
  • To maintain accurate records and reports on student progress and attainment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE).
  • Proven experience of teaching Humanities subjects at KS3 and KS4.
  • An ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and assessment frameworks.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
