Job Title: Support Assistant for Students with Autism
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Assistant to join our team at The Aurora Group. As a Support Assistant, you will work closely with our students who have Autism, providing individualized support to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish a warm and supportive relationship with students to promote their emotional and social well-being.
- Support students in their daily activities, including academic and personal tasks.
- Assist students with communication and social interaction challenges.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Provide physical support and assistance as needed.
Requirements:
- GCSE Maths and English qualification minimum Grade 4 or equivalent.
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Experience of working in a special school environment (desirable).
- Team TEACH Training (desirable).
