As an Autism Support Assistant, you will:

  • Develop and prepare materials designed to inspire individual learning
  • Keep written records of pupil observations, and feed back to parents
  • Carrying out general TA responsibilities in class where required
  • Work under supervision of the school SENCo and various Class Teachers
  • Provide effective support to this student, helping to build social confidence and academic engagement
 
This Autism Support Assistant role will include extensive in house and external training, designed to further develop your skill set, and there will be support and supervision from the school SENCo.

As an Autism Support Assistant, it would be your role to break down learning for a selection of neuro-diverse children and manage triggers to help her progress at a faster rate.
