Nurse (Permanent, Part Time) - Children's Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Band 6 Paediatric Nurse or SCPHN to join our 'Award Winning' team. As a Children Looked After (CLA) Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality health services to children and young people resident in Somerset who are looked after by the Local Authority.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake complex statutory health assessments with Children Looked After and young people who may have complex needs and/or who are difficult to reach.
- Negotiate and develop individualised Child Health Care Plans to meet the identified needs and promote positive lifestyle choices of looked after children in conjunction with the medical team and other named health professionals.
- Support processes within our team to enable our CLA cohort to reach their full potential.

Person Specification- Registered on Part 1 of the NMC register as: Registered Children's Nurse or Part 3 as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
- Have completed specific training/programme with a child & family focus.
- Have a minimum of three-year's experience related to caring for babies/children & young people & relevant experience with looked after children & young people.
