Creative Support, a leading non-profit provider of social care services, is collaborating with Liverpool City Council, local law enforcement, crisis teams, and other organizations to launch a groundbreaking night-time crisis prevention service for individuals experiencing mental health challenges in Liverpool City Centre.

This innovative service will provide a safe and secure environment for those reaching a crisis point within their mental well-being. Operating from 6pm seven days a week, 365 days a year, its primary objective is to reduce hospitalizations, reliance on A&E departments, and police resources. This social model of support emphasizes de-escalation techniques and empowers clients to develop their own coping strategies.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual for the role of Crisis and Recovery Worker to deliver person-centered support to individuals with mental health needs at our new service in Liverpool.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Provide practical and emotional support to service users who may be experiencing or facing a mental health crisis.
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for service users to gain independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with service users in a recovery-focused manner, adhering to their support and risk management plans.
  • Work alongside other involved professionals to ensure a consistent and coordinated service that maximizes positive outcomes for service users.

Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges is essential. You must possess a warm personality and the ability to work in a person-centered manner, effectively managing high-stress situations. A clean driving license and access to a vehicle are beneficial.

Flexibility is key as you will be expected to work on a rotating schedule to meet the service's needs.
