About the Role

As a Consultant in Gynaecological Oncology, you will be responsible for providing expert care and treatment to patients with gynaecological cancers. You will be working as part of a team of specialists in the North Wales Gynaecological Cancer Centre, based in Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor.

Main Duties

  • Providing high-quality care to patients with gynaecological cancers, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
  • Leading a team of junior doctors and healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care
  • Contributing to the development of policies and guidelines for the treatment of gynaecological cancers
  • Participating in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration with inclusion on the Specialist Register of GMC or eligibility for award of CCT in Gynaecology Oncology within 6 months of interview
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification
  • Good working knowledge and experience of up-to-date gynaecological oncology
  • Appropriate experience in training grade posts at SpR/SR/STR leading to accreditation or CCT
