Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiological Protection Specialist to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Decommissioning Services team, you will play a leading role in the radiological protection aspects of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level technical advice to client sites on radiological protection matters.
  • Develop and review radiological protection arrangements, including risk assessments and dose estimates.
  • Support the development of project execution plans to ensure a fit-for-purpose approach to radiological protection.
  • Liaise with inspectors and regulators during audits and investigations.
  • Deliver ALARP assessments and support BAT assessments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant subject, or demonstrable equivalent ability and experience.
  • Appropriate membership of a professional body.
  • Significant experience in operational radiological protection, with a focus on quality of experience over number of years.
  • Evidence of providing advice on compliance with IRR'17 (and/or IRR'99).
  • Able to lead teams within the radiological protection discipline.
