About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Interventional Radiologist to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity for a radiologist with expertise in vascular intervention, embolization, and endovascular management of traumatic haemorrhage.

The successful candidate will work closely with our enthusiastic team of 8 full-time IR Consultants and participate in a 1:9 IR on-call rota covering Vascular and non-Vascular interventions.

Our department enjoys close working relationships with Vascular Surgery, Urology, and other surgical and medical specialties.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform embolization for acute bleeding to support the trauma centre and for GI bleeding
  • General interventional skills including abscess drainage, nephrostomy, and biopsy
  • Management of haemodialysis access patients
  • Report CT and MRI studies, including CT angiography

Requirements:

  • FRCR or equivalent
  • Maintain full registration with the GMC
  • CCT in Clinical Radiology or Interventional Radiology
  • Higher academic qualification (e.g. MD or MS)

Estimated Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
